Great Jacket

This jacket has superior warmth, fits well, and I get a lot of compliments when I wear it.

Good quality winter jacket!

I bought this jacket a couple months ago after much deliberation and I’m happy I did! Fit is good, it’s quite comfortable and looks great. I’ve been wearing it in -20 degree weather and haven’t been cold at all. I will note that you will need a second layer once you start hitting -15ish and below but it’s otherwise great!

Pretty good but watch out for the zipper

Seems pretty good quality, looks great. But not particularly waterproof and the zipper on the inside pocket tears up the left side of your sweater. Bad design for a winter jacket.

More than expected

Fit very weel, many pockects, fantastic (as usual) G-1000 material. Warmer than expected especially considering that it is not a goose down jacket

Nice jacket overall, but ruins wool sweaters

Overall I like this jacket. Warm enough for NYC winters and looks good. My main gripe is that the zipper in the inner pocket rips up wool sweaters, which is crazy for a winter jacket. All of my sweaters are ripped or piling just on the left side now. On a side note, I really have come to dislike the large logo crest on the sleeve and wish there was an ability to remove it.

The Greenland no 1 is absolutely perfect for cold Minnesota winter days. We just had -15f windchill temps with blustery icy winds and nothing penetrated the g1000 outer layer and the down insulation ensured comfort while walking 3 miles around a city lake. The jacket is not puffy like my old Greenland down that I can’t even wear unless it’s -10f or colder. The Greenland no 1 is perfect, not too puffy and clunky and if needed just put on a good base layer and it’s perfect even in -15f. Very impressed by this jacket, pbbly my all time favorite winter coat. Better than Canada goose, arc teryx, Patagonia and others I have used. This one is the best! Thanks Fjällräven!

Pretty but bad performance.

I think this Jacket is way overpriced. I live in Minnesota, so I need a good winter jacket. I bought this one because is pretty and light but the down feature makes me think It will be warm enough. Perfect! Prety, light, and warm. Unfortunately the jacket is not for winter, maybe fall or spring. Also after one year of wearing it, the sleeves, around the wrist area are becoming so worn out that now there are holes on it. I don't work with the jacket or used it outdoors camping, so it is just a weak material or poor design. It is like a beautiful girlfriend that is giving you troubles all the time.

Awesome winter coat for Minnesota winters

Absolutely awesome winter jacket! Perfect for my needs when out owling in cold temps. I have many winter coats but this is my absolute favorite. The g1000 is so much better than technical gore tex type fabrics. Quiet and comfortable, slim fitting and still roomy. Good pocket for phone, gloves etc. I would say it’s perfect for my needs. Thanks Fjallraven!!! And, I do have the Greenland down as well for super cold temps. That one is a Real puffer and bulky so only for extreme conditions.

Rugged comfortable

Simply the most rugged and most comfortable outdoor pants I have ever owned (Keb trousers) and I have owned nearly all brands. LOVE these pants, I now have 5 pairs..

Poor warmth, odd styling, way overpriced

I bought this around 2 months ago in the UK. Largely disappointed with it due to lack of warmth, odd styling and down coming through the outer layer. If you’re thinking about a warm coat for winter this will not fit the bill. Nor is it waterproof. I live in the UK where it’s fine and mild - I feel cold wearing this jacket all the time. The neck is very open and heat just escapes. Giving it 2 stars as the construction is very good quality. Beyond that this jacket is kind of pointless and very expensive.
